Accused gunman in Loris nightclub mass shooting denied bond

The third man charged in connection to a mass shooting that left one man dead and several others injured at a Loris-area night club in April was denied bond in a magistrate court Thursday afternoon.

Dimnique Lequan Bellamy, 23, of Longs was charged with murder and possessing a weapon during the shoot-out at the PNR Club in the Finklea Crossroads area of Loris that killed 37-year-old Laquint O’neil Boyd in the wee hours of April 30.

“On his record, he has a 2016 unlawful carry of a pistol so at this point in time we believe that he is a danger to society and possibly a flight risk,” said Katie Owens, an assistant solicitor with the 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office. She asked for bond to be denied.

“Due to the nature of the charge… this court cannot set your bond,” Judge Aaron Butler told Bellamy, as he denied bond on both charges.

Bond will

Jesse James Warren, of Temple, Georgia, opened fire at a Penske truck-leasing facility in Kennesaw on Jan. 12, 2010, Cobb County District Attorney Vic Reynolds said in a news release Tuesday. Three men were killed the day of the shooting, while a fourth succumbed to his injuries three years later. Another person was injured but survived the attack, which occurred about 20 miles northwest of Atlanta.

Investigators described Warren, 67, as a disgruntled ex-employee.

Psychiatrists determined that Warren is not competent to stand trial. At a hearing Tuesday, two forensic psychiatrists from Georgia Regional Hospital testified that Warren still won’t take medication for his disorder and is a danger to the

Video shows accused mass murderer tricking, attacking jail guard

RIO ARRIBA COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – Surveillance video from inside the Rio Arriba County Jail in Tierra Amarilla captures accused murderer Damian Herrera attacking guards earlier this month.

Herrera is accused of five murders back in June across northern New Mexico. It’s believed Herrera killed his step-dad, brother and mother before gunning down two strangers.

Newly released video shows the moments Herrera recently attacked guards and an EMT inside the Rio Arriba County Jail, where he’s been held since he was arrested following the hours-long manhunt.

From the video, it’s clear Herrera had a plan. He knew how to dupe the guard into going into his cell, then went right for his weapon of choice to attack another guard — a metal flashlight.

It happened around 11 p.m. on July 15. According to jail guard statements, Herrera was on an hour break outside his cell, meandering around the facility shirtless, when

Accused Mass Murderer In Court Today

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) – A Mississippi man charged with killing eight people is set to appear in court.

Willie Cory Godbolt has been jailed without bond since his arrest May 28, shortly after the fatal shootings of a sheriff’s deputy and seven others who were Godbolt’s relatives or acquaintances.

The killings May 27 and 28 occurred at three homes in and around Brookhaven, Mississippi.

They began after a deputy responded to a disturbance call at a home where witnesses say Godbolt was arguing with his estranged wife.

Prosecutors will ask a judge Wednesday to send Godbolt’s case to a grand jury.

Godbolt is charged with one count of capital murder, which could carry the death penalty, in the deputy’s shooting.

He’s also charged with seven counts of murder, which could carry life without parole.

Accused family killer calls for his own execution

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. –

Collier County’s most gruesome murder case soon come to a close.

Accused mass murderer, Mesac Damas, told a judge last month he wants to plead guilty and be executed.

“I would like to represent myself. I would like these two gentlemen to be removed from the case, and I would like to plead guilty now,” Damas said in the court hearing.

Damas is accused of slitting the throats of his wife, Guerline Damas, and the five children they shared.

On Friday, a judge has to decide if Damas is competent to represent himself and if he’ll accept his guilty plea.

If the judge accepts Damas guilty plea, Damas still has the opportunity to have a jury decide his sentence or he can have the judge sentence him.

“If the judge finds he is competent to make those
