Man who claims he was fathered during Wisconsin orgy makes claim against Manson estate

A man who believes convicted mass murderer Charles Manson fathered him during a Wisconsin orgy in the late 1960s plans to make a claim to the estate.

Matt Lentz, a Los Angeles-area musician who goes by the name Matthew Roberts, has a will that Manson purportedly signed in January 2017 naming him as beneficiary, said his agent, Mike Smith. He said Manson gave the will to friend and memorabilia collector Ben Gurecki, who is named as executor.

Lentz was expected in court Monday as the battle brewing over Manson’s estate began, but didn’t show up. Smith said Lentz was having trouble finding a lawyer to take the case.

It remains unclear where the court challenges will be fought or whether others will join a pen pal and purported grandson laying claim to the cult leader’s possessions and body.

The issue of venue is clouded because Manson, 83, died at a

Judge rejects dismissing charges in case where man claims Sheriff’s Department and Santa Ana PD destroyed evidence

SANTA ANA – A judge denied a request on Wednesday to dismiss charges against a man accused of shooting at officers during a police chase, ruling that there was insufficient evidence to prove that law enforcement conspired to destroy video and audio recordings.

Jimmy Hoang Truong, 30, faces multiple felony counts including attempted murder on police officers and evading them during a pursuit and a 90-minute standoff in Santa Ana in November 2015. No one was injured.

Truong’s attorney, Mark Hover, insisted that Truong never fired at officers and that law enforcement destroyed evidence from helicopter videos and dispatch recordings.

The prosecution has maintained that no video footage was destroyed, and that there is no evidence that police acted in bad faith.

If convicted, Truong, who has a lengthy criminal record, faces more than 80 years to life in prison.

After a three-week hearing, Orange County Superior Court Judge Thomas Goethals sided with prosecutors, stating

The mass shooting in Las Vegas on Oct. 1, 2017 prompted Wisconsin politicians to make statements about shootings and guns. We fact checked three of them. Here’s what we found.

The Las Vegas shooting was the “273rd mass shooting” in the United States so far in 2017.

Our rating: Half True.

U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin, D-Wis., cited a source that arrived at that figure using a very broad definition of mass shooting, to include gang violence, street fights and other incidents unlike the random shooting seen in Las Vegas. Other sources use

‘Casino hole’ let Vegas mass murderer get weapons to room, high-roller claims

A high-rolling professional gambler for years warned the FBI that blatant holes in security at casinos worldwide made them soft targets for terrorists wanting to commit mass atrocities.

Shooter Stephen Paddock used multiple assault weapons to kill 59 people and injure more than 500 others, as he sprayed bullets at 40,000 concert-goers across the street from his 32nd floor Las Vegas hotel room.

American gambler R.J. Cipriani, who also goes by the moniker Robin Hood 702, told nine.com.au it was an “abomination” that security was so weak at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.

Cipriani said the death toll inflicted by mass murderer Paddock could have easily numbered in the hundreds if he had entered the gaming floor of the Mandalay Bay and unzipped his bag of weapons.

The Mandalay Bay, like many other Las Vegas hotels, is also home to vast conference halls, regularly packed with international business people and audiences.

Man accused of plotting mass shooting at Milwaukee’s Scottish Rite claims entrapment

Lawyers say the FBI tried to entrap the man accused of planning a mass shooting at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center in downtown Milwaukee, and add that he refused to take part in the shooting.

When the feds announced they had foiled a mass shooting at Milwaukee’s Scottish Rite Masonic Center last year, they said accused plotter, Samy Hamzeh, wanted to kill 30 people “because these 30 will terrify the world.”

Hamzeh denied the allegations in his first court appearance.

Now, in court records, Hamzeh’s lawyers say prosecutors failed to tell the rest of the story — that translations of Hamzeh’s Arabic conversations with two federal informants show Hamzeh ultimately called off the Scottish Rite plot saying, “Get me out of this.”

Hamzeh told the informants two religious leaders told him Islam forbids such an act, saying, “Why are you talking like this? I can’t have
