In fact, it showed he was a sober, healthy 64-year-old.

The report — released Friday (Feb. 9) in response to a lawsuit by The Associated Press and the Las Vegas Review-Journal — showed gunman Stephen Paddock had anti-anxiety drugs in his system but was not under the influence of them.

Paddock unleashed a barrage of bullets from his high-rise hotel suite into a crowd at a country music festival below, killing 58 people and injuring more than 800 others on Oct. 1. He fatally shot himself before officers stormed his hotel suite after the mass shooting.

The autopsy showed the 6-foot-1 Paddock was slightly overweight at 224 pounds, had high

Motive is still a mystery in mass shooting at Kentucky high school

BENTON, Ky. – A tight-knit rural community reflected Wednesday on the hometown horror of a school shooting that killed two teenagers, injured 18 and sent hundreds of others fleeing for their lives from a place many considered immune from violence.

Police have not publicly identified the 15-year-old accused of opening fire Tuesday at Marshall County High School. Officers said he walked into the “commons” area where many students gather before classes begin and immediately began shooting. Witnesses said he fired a single shot, paused, and then emptied the handgun of ammunition before he tried to escape and was arrested. On Wednesday, authorities said he faces preliminary charges of murder and assault while police investigate what might have prompted the attack.

Report: Las Vegas mass shooting meticulously planned, but motive remains elusive – WGRZ

PHOENIX — Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock’s deadly October rampage was meticulously planned, and he scouted other possible targets nationwide before killing 58 concertgoers. But after four months of investigation, his motive remains a mystery.

Those are key takeaways in a preliminary report by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police that describes details of the Oct. 1 mass murder in chronological detail, with photographs and a list of victims.

Paddock, a 64-year-old accountant, gambler and gun collector, carried out his assault from a pair of 32nd-floor rooms at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, which overlooked an open-air concert venue known as Las Vegas Village.

About 22,000 people were enjoying a final performance at the Route 91 Music Festival when Paddock began spraying them with bullets, using so-called “bump stocks” that legally transform semi-automatic rifles into rapid-fire weapons.
