Police report reveals Fla. shooter’s behavior toward his mother …

Newly released police reports depicted mass killer Nikolas Cruz as a threat to his mother and himself, exposing a volatile teen anxious to purchase a gun once he turned 18.

Lynda Cruz called police repeatedly after fights in the family home, including a Jan. 15, 2013, blowout where the infuriated teen threw a chair, a glass and a dog bowl, according to reports obtained by CNN.

“He has mentioned in the past that he would like to purchase a firearm,” noted one of the 30-plus reports filed by cops responding to his Parkland, Fla., home.

The police paperwork covered a stretch from 2011-16, with references to jailed murder suspect Nikolas Cruz as a “mentally ill person” who at one point smacked his mom with a plastic vacuum cleaner

SC School Shooting Suspect Researched Attacks, Police Say | Time

(ANDERSON, S.C.) — A sheriff’s detective says a teen charged with fatally shooting his father before going to a South Carolina school and killing a first-grader and injuring two other people searched the internet for information on school shootings.

Anderson County Detective McKindra Bibb examined the teen’s cellphone and testified Thursday that the suspect searched for “youngest mass murderer” among other topics before the September 2016 shooting at Townville Elementary School. The boy had just turned 14 at the time.

A judge is considering whether the teen should stand trial as an adult or a juvenile.

Bibb testified that the teen also had searched terms including the Orlando nightclub shooting, as well as the shooters responsible for the Sandy Hook Elementary School attack in Connecticut and the Columbine High School attack in Colorado.

The teen had a chart detailing mass shootings in the U.S. and looked for information on Dylann Roof, who has been

Judge: Las Vegas police must release mass shooting records – KABC

A judge in Las Vegas has ordered police to make public 911 calls, police officer body camera video and several other records that authorities sought to keep secret until they finish their investigation into last year’s mass shooting.

Nevada state court Judge Richard Scotti on Wednesday ruled the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department must begin releasing records to media organizations that requested them starting hours after the Oct. 1 shooting on the Las Vegas Strip.

The department was ordered to redact all identifiable information, including names, Social Security numbers and portions of videos in which people could be easily recognized.

“If the government contended that the requested records were confidential or otherwise protected from disclosure, then the government had a duty to redact confidential information and produce the non-confidential portions of the records,” Scotti said. “Wholesale withholding of documents with a general claim of confidentiality suggests to this court that records have

Police Release Video of Suspect, Vehicle in Fatal Homeless Shooting Spree

LAS VEGAS (KXNT) – Las Vegas authorities were hoping video surveillance footage will help lead to the capture of an apparent spree killer who targeted homeless victims following four linked shootings last week that left two men dead and two others injured, according to investigators.

The first shooting happened outside the Green Valley Grocery in Logandale just after midnight Jan. 29, according to Las Vegas Metro Police Capt. Robert Plummer. Plummer told reporters Tuesday that an employee of the small store was outside near the business’ car wash when he was approached by a man in an SUV who asked for directions to a grocery store. When the victim told the man the town’s only grocery store was closed, the suspect pulled out a gun and fired several rounds at the employee, hitting him once in the arm before fleeing the scene.

The employee was hospitalized with

Las Vegas police provided false information to judge about mass shooting – Baltimore Post

LAS VEGAS — The 300 pages of Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department search warrants and the affidavits for probable cause relating to Stephen Paddock and the Oct. 1 Las Vegas massacre revealed that police saw Stephen Paddock ‘place a gun go his head fire one round.”

Sergeant Jerry MacDonald made that observation.

MacDonald’s statement was a revelation, as the public was told numerous times by Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo who runs the LVMPD, that Paddock was found dead on the floor when officers breached his suite at the Mandalay Bay Hotel, one hour and five minutes after the last shots were fired.

That entry to Paddock’s suite, 32-135 was made with only one member of the 40-man LVMPD SWAT Team who used patrol officers as an ad-hoc SWAT Team, because the full SWAT TEAM was a no-show.

The night of the worst mass shooting in American history when the full SWAT Team was
