After attending the Jason Aldean concert in Las Vegas and surviving the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history, a woman returned to California only to have her Santa Rosa home destroyed by a fast-moving wildfire one week later.
“Last Sunday, I was running from bullets,” 51-year-old Michella Flores told Bay Area television station KTVU. “This Sunday, I was running from fire.
Flores, a flight attendant who has also worked as a firefighter and a paramedic, said she was driving home to Santa Rosa when she saw glow of the fire on a hillside. She had been sharing the rental house with her parents while preparing to move to another part of the city.
She told KTVU she had her parents pack to-go bags just in case, and was able to give her dog Baylee a walk before she turned on a dispatch service she used to use as a

The step-daughter of Marilou Danley, the partner of Las Vegas mass murderer Stephen Paddock, says she is a “lovely woman” and there is “no way” she would have been involved in the horrific shooting that has left 59 people confirmed dead and more than 500 injured.
Danley’s step-daughter told 7 News she is “very kind, very family oriented”, and that she was “shocked” to see her name on the news in connection with the devastating massacre.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The woman killed in a mass shooting in the New Chicago area of North Memphis has been identified as a young man continues to fight for his life.
“This ain`t never happened here. Never,” Millie Ann Perry told WREG’s Nina Harrelson.
Neighbors were still in disbelief after the violence Wednesday night left a mother, Latonia Henneghan, dead.
“We`re just hanging out on the porch like we do every day.”
Tonya Johnson watched as fights between dozens of teens and adults broke out in the middle of the street.
“One person started shooting, a couple more people started shooting and it just went left so quick.”
Before she knew it, she was running for her life.
“You`re trying to get out of the way. I`ve got kids. I`m running into the house and I`m getting to the floor and trying to call the police.”
Police said things took a turn for the worse when one guy

The expectant mother who told local media she had lost her baby when her gender reveal party turned into a deadly mass shooting was never pregnant, police announced.
Cheyanne Willis, 21, was one of the nine people shot at her party on July 8 when two people opened fire on the group as they watched a movie. One attendee, Autumn Garrett, 21, died, while Willis was shot in the leg.
When she was released from the hospital, Willis told local media she had lost her baby.
Now, Colerain Township police say Willis was never pregnant, despite her family’s claims.
Police spokesman James Love tells PEOPLE authorities are frustrated by the apparent lie but continue to try to solve the shooting.
“As ridiculous as it might be, it’s not a crime to lie, its not a crime to have a party over that lie,” says

COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A woman did not lose an unborn child during a mass shooting at an Ohio gender reveal party as she’d led some to believe, police said Monday.
She was not pregnant in the first place, police spokesman Jim Love said. He said police would let a prosecutor determine whether the woman should face charges.
Police Chief Mark Denney said it’s just one example of how much time investigators have “wasted following leads known to be lies.”
“From the very beginning of this investigation, we have met significant resistance that is uncommon from victims of crime wanting a resolution,” a news release from Denney said.
A gender reveal party is a kind of baby shower, in which an expectant parent or parents share the sex of their unborn child.
Love said the party, held July 8 at a home in suburban Cincinnati, was for the woman who falsely claimed she was pregnant.

CINCINNATI – A supervisor for an Indiana woman killed during a mass shooting at a gender reveal party in Ohio said the last thing he told her before she left work Friday for a weekend wedding was “be safe.”
Co-workers at a Huntington, Indiana, manufacturing plant are devastated by the death of 22-year-old Autum Garrett, employee David Moyer told the Cincinnati Enquirer .
“All she ever talked about was her family — her husband her two little ones,” said Moyer, Garrett’s supervisor at MS Industrial Metal Fabricators.
Eight people, including the pregnant woman and three children, were wounded in the shooting when two men opened fire inside a home Saturday night in the Cincinnati suburb of Colerain Township.
Garrett’s husband, Bryan, was the most seriously wounded. He was shot in the eye and will require additional surgeries. The couple’s two children also were shot. The pregnant woman lost her child, a
